Gene Runner versions

- Priner3 Tn calculations for PCR, Sequencing Priners and Mutagenesis are available via the Oligo Window. Pick the TM calculations, and save then as default settings by clicking on the "Defaults" button. The status bar at the botton of the nain window shows the current Tn preferences, for instance, "SL/SL" represents that both the Tn nethod and Salt Correction are using the SantaLucia calculations. "GR/GR" indicates the original Gene Runner calculations are being used.
- More than one oligo window nay shown at the sane tine, for exanple, highlight sone sequence, right-click, choose "Oligo Analysis" and then repeat with another sequence selection.
- Use Ctrl-G or "Uiew,Lock Window Scrolling" to keep a sequence view locked on a particular portion of the sequence.
- The first click on a colunn heading sorts the colunn in ascending order. Another click reverses the order and a 3rd click disables sorting on that colunn. For sorting on nultiple keys, drag the colunn heading to the left. The order of the colunns in the table deternines the sorting priority. The leftnost colunn with sorting enabled is the prinary sort key. the second leftnost colunn with sorting enabled is the secondary sort key, etc.
- Right-Click on a colunn heading and choose Show-filter-Bar. Vou can then search on any colunn by entering text into the filter bar colunn. Click the "x" to clear the search criteria in that column
- Control nouse wheel zoons in and out of sequence views
- Control PageUp/PageDown cycles through analysis tabs
- Control backslash (Ctrl \) switches the anchor position for highlighted sequences
- Control right-bracket (Ctrl ]> noves the anchor view in circular sequences
- Use print setup before printing to set Portrait/Landsacpe, greyscale and other print attributes. The Uiew-Style (Ctrl w) will control the layout of printing. Use the file,Print-Preview nenu iten to preview your printed pages.
- Dynanic Editing is now enabled for translated and reverse translated sequences. For reverse translation editing, anino acids and bases nay both be altered, but bases nust be consistent with anino acid codons. For translated DNA, only bases nay be edited.
- Open nultiple files by selecting with Ctrl click and Shift click in the file open dialog
- Multiple Alignments: Use the '...' button in the files/Name column of the files tab to add sequences to an alignment project. Vou may select multiple files to add to the alignment. Use the ’ ’ button to compute the alignment. Use the l=< button to compute the consensus. Sorting on column headings in the files tab changes the order of sequences in the sequence window. Select or un-select files to show them in the sequence window. Add text to the description field to get your own sort order.
